Bright World Review

Write for us

Bright World Review welcomes clear, thoughtful proposals about daylight, twilight, cloud and the changing sky. We are interested in pieces that leave readers better able to notice a pattern or understand a familiar view.

What we welcome

Pitch an original essay, explainer, comparison, seasonal observation exercise or concise piece of sky history. A good proposal has one distinct subject, a clear reason it matters to general readers and a shape that suits an evergreen almanac. We value precise language, well-grounded claims and a voice that is curious without overstating.

Before you send

Describe the central idea, the reader it serves, the proposed approach and any sources or relevant experience that inform it. Tell us whether the piece has been published or submitted elsewhere. Please send a proposal rather than a completed manuscript unless we have asked for one; do not include private or confidential material.

How to propose a piece

Send your proposal through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A submission is not a promise of publication. Please wait for a reply before sending repeated versions of the same pitch.
